Inception

In the words of this Fae...

Beneath shady Trees that outlined huge waterfalls, cascading down below forested ground is where this tale begins. A forest village, birthed by Nature and maintained by a most exlcusive race of Fae: The True Fae. There is no offical name of this village, for we that lived within it, only knew it as 'The Village', for we had no reason to speak of it to outsiders. Outsiders are considered to be the 'unbelivers'. And those that failed to believe would never pass through the Kala'tanarla.

This highly energy sourced translucent shield could not be penetrated by those who did not have the belief of the True Fae. The Kala' is constantly fed by the emotional energy of those within the village. A balance harmoniously tuned to keep the even flow of natural elemental energy, protecting the True Fae. The Kala' and the True Fae were balanced to such a degree that with each birth of a fayling, the mother would soon fade away. If the balanced number of the True Fae was uneven, then the Kala' would lose power and thus make the village visible for all to see. This balance is needed to maintain the constant collective connection between the True Faes, in mind, spirit and emotion. Too many True Faes at one time, would cause this connection to become unstable and weak, thus the Kala' would disappear, putting the True Faes in ultimate danger. For each True Fae, even in their numbers, were constantly in harmony with each other, a constant connection of grace, purity, reason and loyalty. There was no pride, ego or envy, only the truth of the natural Will of the True Fae.

The True Fae being born from the Fates, are asexual beings. When it was time to bring another fayling into life, the Fates would chose an Elder of which Time has deemed them ready to fade from life. This Elder would then be blessed with the gift of a fayling, birthing her and raising her for the length of one harvest. After this harvest, the Elder would pass into fadence and the fayling would be taught and protected by the other True Faes within the Village.

To maintain the Kala' this process of one life born from one fadence enables the fragile balance of a natural cycle that the Kala' is founded.
